I support older and disabled people in the Falmouth and Helston areas with calm, steady, and respectful care. My work is grounded in presence, patience, and genuine connection. I believe in creating a sense of ease so people can feel safe, comfortable, and themselves.
What I Offer
I’m fully insured and hold an Enhanced DBS certificate. I offer a blend of practical help, companionship, and gentle support, which might include:
- Support with everyday tasks
- A friendly chat and a listening ear
- Trips out in the car to appointments or the shops
My aim is always to bring ease, comfort, and dignity into the everyday.
My Experience
I’ve supported people of all ages and with a wide range of disabilities. My background includes diplomas in Anatomy, Physiology & Body Massage, Aromatherapy, and qualifications in yoga teaching and counselling skills.
My previous roles include:
- Live‑in carer
- Support worker
- Personal assistant
- Care assistant
- Therapist
I’ve also volunteered as a massage and Reiki therapist in a Macmillan cancer centre.
Having cared for my own parents at the end of their lives, I understand how essential support can be — and how tiring it can feel for families. I offer breathing space, giving families time to rest, recharge, and look after their own wellbeing.
My Approach
My approach is gentle, steady, and grounded. I take time to really see the person in front of me, to understand what helps them feel safe and supported. I work quietly and respectfully, creating a calm atmosphere where things can unfold at their own pace. I don’t rush, and I don’t push. I offer presence, patience, and a sense of ease, so people can relax and feel cared for.
The Heart of Gentle Support
Gentle Support is rooted in dignity, kindness, and genuine care. I value clear communication, reliability, and creating an environment where people feel respected and listened to. My intention is always to support people in a way that honours their independence while offering steady, dependable help where it’s needed.
I want the people I support — and their families — to feel held, reassured, and able to breathe a little easier.
